It's not a given that we accept the
systemic, systematic and perhaps unprecedented programming of society,
you and me, to accept the austerity programme as 'the only way' is it?
Or that we have to believe the slow robotic monologue that instructs us that 'there is no other
way', and the evidence and necessity for this is 'the market'.
So that's it then...'the market' determines everything even as we watch the Eurozone countries (of whom we majorly depend on for trade) slovenly obey the market and still lose their holy TRIPLE A rating.
Because if France can lose their triple A credit rating whilst attempting with Germany to lead the Euro out of potential disaster by following the market, does anyone think market forces/speculators couldn't or wouldn't turn on any country, including the UK if it percieves it (or it's banking sector to be vulnerable) as not following a rigid enough austerity programme?
The austerity programme will not work because it doesn't include any plan for growth and coldly constricts, inhibits and limits 'confidence' and the supply of money to the very business and people who will generate jobs and growth.
It deliberately creates unemployment at a massive cost both in human and financial terms whilst believing the private sector can pick up 'the slack'. There is not evidence as yet proving this to be the case.
The austerity programme would kill our aspirations, our
sense of justice and indeed our reasoning as we see most of Europe
sleepwalking back into recession like lemons off a hill.
The austerity programme is, in my
opinion, destructive to big dreams, inspiration and actions that give hope to people (not to mention the the havoc it wrecks on social policy and real peoples needs) ...and so
just maybe it's not the only way.
Because maybe
in 2012 and beyond and perhaps at this stage of evolution people just like you
and me are at our most enlightened, unwilling to be coerced into
believing that anything anymore is 'the only way'.
Maybe the
politicians and system players haven't woken up to that fact yet. I
wonder if you've already decided that you don't have to believe what you
are told, that maybe you don't need to believe in the one dimensional
and ideological focus on fear, lack, cuts and the consequences of that
focus...
Perhaps you will choose to resist the repeated notion of the all powerful hand
of the invisible market forces and the confidence fairy that comes hard
wired with the marketing of austerity. Perhaps you'll change...
Now,
perhaps you'll choose to be different and kick on and decide not to let others downgrade
your dreams, maybe you'll look at things from another angle, another
way.
Just imagine if you did... if you pressed ahead regardless of what
you heard or saw. What would your thinking be like, you attitude, your feelings, your
expectations and motivation, your words, behaviour and actions. What
would happen if you decided to believe differently... and do things
another way?

So what's it going to be are you going to be submerged by the stats. Wiped out by the headline figures. Knocked back by the Eurozone crisis or brought to your knees listenening to the woeful GOVERNMENT PLANS to give you cut price work experience. It does not have to be this way for you.
(a little known stat...there are now record numbers in self employment, over 4.09 million, the highest since comparable figures started in 1992...now thats a stat to be celebratory about)
