"Who said you can't go out and make a million or so (if you want, and that's the crucial thing...if you want to) by following your dreams for the long term, staying healthy and having some fun along the way. Becoming a rule writer not a rule obeyer. You don't need to be pushed around anymore by an old system that exists to make you think you can't be happy without this or that or something else you don't have and that is often impossible to attain for many.
Don't be waylaid by the merchants behind the TV, INTERNET, GLOSSY MAGAZINES, OR CELL PHONES who, playing on fear and insecurity (overt or covert) offer you a way out into a false NIRVANA via multiple ways of making money, feeling good immediately or a fast buck overnight via the selling and pitching of nothing but lies, deception and snake oil. There are lots of packaged (dreams) out there right now and no doubt much more to come that are playing on peoples very real fear and insecurities, they want your money and promise you tremendous returns and because x,y and z are behind it... it must be true.
These schemes are often endorsed and fronted by well known, respected celebrities. Their spiel is long and is focused on exploitationin.
Truth is no matter who fronts these promo's or 'adverts', there is no quick way to make money, but there is in reality a very quick way to lose that which you do have. I think there is chaos and confusion right now, but that doesn't mean you have to respond in the old way, do things the old way and percieve things in an old way, because a new way might just be precisely the right way for you to live with integrity and principle by doing things your way.
WHEN WHAT THEY MEAN IS LIVE THEIR WAY...
You can be happy without major money if you want by creating your own rules for your life(guidelines for success and happiness) by defining the meaning behind success and happiness beforehand. You don't need to play someone elses game, because by creating your own rules for becoming successful (if you want to be successful and your success is defined by you) you can attract the people you can trust around you and play by another set of rules, another perspective. Your own.
And some people will understand that. Some will not. That's ok too.
The country, it is said, is full of stress and tension, some real and some contrived by politicians, economists, bankers et al... people who run the system in front of and behind the scenes...the puppet masters if you will. The question is whose theatre are you operating in right now and are you a puppet or a puppeteer? Do you question what you are told and see or do you blindly take it all in like a sponge.
Or maybe you don't want to play that particular game anymore.
The world doesn't need more scammers, ponzi schemes, spivs, conmen and duplicity. It needs you to be you, as you are. The world needs healers, creativity, imagination, action takers...it really does need you. So change the rules go out and be a healer of peoples problems, help them to discover and find what they really want and maybe, just maybe you might find yourself along the way."

RE-DEFINING GREED - TAKING IT BACK HOME
So maybe we can agree on one or two points because greed has a really mixed up and bad press. I mean, I guess we instinctively know when greed is challenging. For instance when greed or at least it's perception, causes disconnection, disharmony, distance and perhaps dissonance.
Yet when could
greed be nurturing...I mean really good. Maybe when you leave the people around you feeling awesome, lit up and perhaps on fire, hungry and committed to being remarkable and producing great things even as you yourself feel this too, freed up from former binding limitations you find that whatever you are engaged in is where you are meant to be, doing what you are meant to do...
So what if we re-defined greed to be good - in the context of business and I guess life in general, when...
i) Greed is good when you know, trust, believe and honour self
Soaring to new heights, new challenges to new levels of knowledge and emotional intelligence. Greed is good when you are moved to new beliefs about your stick-ability and an 'I don't quit' degree of courage and conviction **(except in circumstances of honour and good sense re Churchill speech 1941, read full quote last page of my book).
Greed is good when you acknowledge pain, feelings and empathy with another and live firmly in the present, in appreciation of all you have right now.
Greed is good when you lift and drive yourself to new influential and positive actions that propel you forward in the finest evolutionary sense of the word. To a place where you learn quickly, grow, adapt to change faster, smarter, with more finesse, taking people with you who see and love what you are doing and where you are going, whilst freely leaving positions that no longer serve your upward mobility.
ii) Greed is good when you seek the very best for your clients.
When only remarkable work will suffice. When you under promise and over deliver. When things go wrong it hurts but you prove to be at your best in making things better, doing whatever it takes... building up trust and even more commitment from your client, in the form of more repeat business and even more referrals.
iii) Greed is good as your company thrives adapting to change.
Greed is good when like Apple Corp. you look ahead to the second bounce of the ball, perhaps even re-defining what your client needs before he/she even knows they need it.
Greed is good when you keep your employees in employment and out of the unemployment queues by adapting to globalisation, Asia and automation, earning the respect of your people as you provide them with a narrative a story they can believe in because it imbues them with a sense of pride and value causing them to love the product and the service they provide.
Greed is good when you charismatically influence your colleagues and employees by your leadership to feel part of something special, something good and worthwhile that improves the world no matter how small or how big the venture.
Now could you not come to retake GREED IS GOOD under that criteria...and importantly, what would happen if you did?
On this basis I wonder if you already beginning to notice what I bring to the table because I am hungry with a voracious appetite to create or embellish you or your company's happiness and success (yes they can go together) as you move further toward your big big dream achievements.
Which means to you that if you are ready to take your game to the next level, you are in the right place at precisely the right time of your life, which really means to you that you have the opportunity to move into the sweet spot, that purple patch each day and move closer and closer to your big, big dream... So now let me ask you a few questions if I may, the answers to which will determine if you are right for me and vice versa.

- How much are you prepared to give of yourself to achieve it
- How great do you want to become?
- By when do you want to do it and are you here for the long term?
- On a scale of one to ten how much do you believe you can have it all
- Do you have any experience of failure and not quitting
- What's been preventing you fulfilling your big, big dream until now
You don't need to spend an age on these just intuit them and see where it takes you.

Now the fact that you are here, looking into your big, big dreams and your life ahead, means you came here for a purpose and I don't know if that reason and purpose will be met in the next minute, or the next ten max or perhaps that reason has already been met.. but what I do know is that dreaming big, big dreams and acting them out in one of the most disturbing and yet paradoxically most exciting times in history is in some way important to you, because maybe you realise that truly it is 'now or never'.
What do you want? Where do you want to go? - how high is high, how big is the treetop or mountain for you? What are you prepared to do in order to win and win big in terms of your big, big dream
Maybe you want to hit the top of your sales tree, be the best in your field, begin to think and take actions like an entrepreneur or go for that new job that you'd truly love to do, or perhaps you want to become the best intrapreneur inside your organisation, provide more value for your clients, your company and yourself and by that very virtue create more wealth, both material and emotional maybe across your city, country or alternatively across the globe because the stuff of life is all out there isn't it.
Conceivably, you perhaps want to become the highest scorer in your team or best defender. Maybe you want to be a better leader, actor/actress, painter or musician...everything starts and ends with your attitude skill set. It's never where you are its how high you want to go.
Maybe you already know that in economies ravaged by banking greed, globalisation, Asia, automation, unemployment and by a constant deluge of bad economic and social data that it's time you turned toward yourself for that ultimate sense of purpose and satisfaction... because we are in the midst of the one of the most turbulent times in history and dependent on your mindset, you will either flourish or you will not.
