About Russ Meyers

Owner and creator of Hungry2Win, Hungry2Win Publishing, Russ-Meyers.com and the LearnerSupport Company, Russ has spent the last 15 years of his life focusing on how he can best help people both young and older adults achieve their very own UNSTOPPABLE DREAMS. Having come from a working class background, leaving school with no formal qualifications and a healthy disallusionment with the establishment around him, he found himself in uncertain working environments, with a lifestyle that was much less than what he had envisioned for himself. The earlier years of energising UNSTOPPABLE DREAMS seemed inaccessable and at best remote. It was at this point Russ began the struggle for survival, inspiration and success.

One of the strange paradoxes of time often occurs in a seeming brief moment (generally in the early years of your life) in time when heroes and inspiration seem infinite, and in abundantly rich supply. Then in another moment, (which in fact can be over a number of years) you find not only have the sources of inspirational genius seemingly dried up, they seem less and less accessible, less real than ever before, and the worse part? You never really notice the subtlety of change.

Through his work, with both young and older adults Russ has found that so many people are accepting that the hunger2win has gone, their time has gone, or never even really arrived, that dreams are for others, others who deserve them, others who are cleverer, bigger, brighter, faster, better looking, others who are the rightr colour, from the right side of town, with the right guardian, parent or parents...for others from bigger cities, better backgrounds, better schooling. In essence their inheritance, their hunger, their right to dream were being stolen, stolen by time, by circumstance, by people, past decisions, experiences, poor beliefs and low self esteem. You know, maybe its easier to fall in with the wrong crowd, easier to fall in with generational expectations, easier to fall in with a culture of low expectations...after all who's going to be upset at you for not being all you can be, who's going to care when nobody expects anymore than the lowest return from your uniqueness, your undoubted gifts and talents.

Success, enrichment and fulfillment are often relics of a time gone by, unachievable, or at best forgotten. Russ answered others, and his own burning questions about how to find purpose, passion and fulfillment... the unstoppable dream, by recognising that his own unstoppable dreams had never really disapeared, never really left him to a life of mediocrity and disappointment, but were there all the time. They may have led him to often unenviable situations and people, to people who let their greatest gifts die and who could not be helped, yet the experiences were always offering something, developing within him a healthy and positive attitude of dissatisfaction with what he had, whilst nurturing a passionate and burning desire to achieve his own unstoppable dreams

Very soon Russ was discovering from experience and discussions with very successful people that the best way to achieve your own unstoppable dreams and the success you want is to recognise what has been there all along, to listen to your inner self, your intuition and develop an intensity of desire that will not be denied come what may, a powerful belief that positive achievement is not in question, that it is impossible to fail. To develop some of your own values, making sure you add value whereever you can, whilst continuing to focus on helping other people achieve their inner most longings and dreams.

Russ made a decision to think that anything is possible in life given his desire, and soon he found himself leaving the factory floor behind, arriving at the door of the Principle of the University and asking if he could take a Degree in business. The Principle was taken aback by this unknown person arriving at his door with no qualifications and a family in tow, but after listening to his dream told him he could start with a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies, which would take him two years to complete and most definitely test his resolve about wanting to attain an Honours Degree.

Russ excelled over the two year business course, passing with very good grades and being offered a place on a B.A (Hons) Degree in business, in which he proudly graduated, the first in his family ever to do so. Yet he knew there was a long way to go, and still things didn’t go right for him (because that’s life, things don't just fall into place) and it took much more discovery and pain before uncovering and reconnecting to his original unstoppable dreams, but the fuse had been lit, which in turn took him toward the work he now does which seems so natural to him he often muses why he had to wait so long before discovering and reawakening his own unstoppable dreams. (Answer…because there was no one there to show him how specifically) ;-)

And so having trained with and under some of the most famed and successful trainers in the world and having worked with thousands of individuals over time and seen many, many achieve their greatest dreams and sadly many who have chosen a different way, Russ is now using his own unique discoveries to reach thousands across communities through the publication of his first book,a CD to run alongside, seminars, TV and radio appearances, with the message that you definitely can achieve your dreams, by recognising them as being unstoppable and acting upon them every day, with masssive belief that unstoppable dreams are just that, unstoppable. You must go against the grain, against your schooling and life experiences, and accept and embrace 'failure' as a pre-requisite for success. As Russ would say… 'go out, step up to the plate, and, reaching out for your most treasured dreams learn to fail more than anyone else, always remembering that this is only one of a myriad of ways in which you can achieve your most unstoppable of dreams.'

Russ would say to Keep this one thing in mind…it’s all about the dreams you hold, the passion behind them and the altitude of your attitude you take with you into action every day of your life. And finally, remember to remember, you might leave your dreams behind, but your dreams will never ever leave you.
